I PRECEDED FILNER

Tell Robert Kumpel, who wrote article on Bob Filner's residence that a congressman has no legal obligation to live anywhere until he is elected, which probably means December certification of Nov. election; but of course, he has a political obligation [see "Carpetbagger," November, 2002]. Robert might read the landmark case on this, my case by the way, Schaefer v. Townsend. I am a Republican, educated at Notre Dame and Georgetown Law, and served two terms on City Council of San Diego, District 8, was succeeded by all Democrats, Bates, Vargas, Filner; my time 1965-71.

ARE YOU OUT OF YOUR MIND?

The conclusion is appearing inescapable that there is merit to the idea of a class-action lawsuit against guv'mint schools in general, and a good many private schools. Co-defendants would be the TV networks in general (and the cable companies for presenting such as the Lifetime Network). Cause of Action? It is becoming increasingly obvious that the average graduate of these indoctrination centers cannot think themselves out of a paper bag.

In the interview with Big Brothers' executive director Paul "we don't discriminate" Palmer ("Big Brothers Allow Gay Mentors", page one, San Diego News Notes, December 2002), Mr. Palmer, in defense of the policy which led to a 12-year-old boy being raped by his "gay" "mentor," said, "As you know, most of the people who molest children are not gay at all." Very cute, Mr. Palmer. As you know, most of the men who molest boys, are.

Not only are most of the men who molest boys, homosexual, but most of the women who molest girls, are, too.

These undeniable facts frame the issue and form a very good reason that any person not legally responsible for himself should not be permitted in the unchaperoned company of adults who are oriented to be sexually attracted to them.

I only wish someone had asked Mr. Palmer about Big Brothers' Officially Institutionalized Sex Discrimination, prohibiting males from mentoring girls and prohibiting females from mentoring boys. Yes, we have been told that the reason for this is not related to any desire of the Big Brothers organization to protect their charges from sexual victimhood, and their history and other policies make this easy to believe. What they haven't answered is what the reason for this sexual discrimination is.

An interesting article was published in by the very left wing & "politically correct" Washington Post one summer. Studies of and interviews with practicing male and female homosexuals revealed that whereas female homosexuals tend to have very few sexual relationships, most of which are long-term and in which the youth and physical attractiveness of the partner are of low importance, the exact opposite is true with male homosexuals. Far from "not discriminating", qualities of youthfulness and physical attractiveness of the partner are highly sought after by gay men.

Men in general, particularly those men who are not grounded with time-honored values, tend to be sexually predatory. More so than women.

What the Post article concluded was that the homosexual forms the quintessence of the type; in homosexual women the most basic female qualities are revealed. Therefore "feminine" means sexually loyal, non-promiscuous, unlikely to be swept away by looks. "Masculinity" means sowing wild oats, selection of partners by visual criteria with strong preferences for youth and beauty nudging out other concerns.

We know a lot of other things about men and women. Data has been collected which reinforces out instinctive concerns; when no father is present, it's girls who tend toward promiscuity; the boys, toward public disturbances and violence. When there's a stepfather present, sometimes it's the boys who suffer violence against themselves and the girls receive unwanted sexual attention.

So, #1 we should stop winking at bastardy. And, if out-of-wedlock childbirth is to be discouraged, the out-of-wedlock sexual activity which brings it about must be discouraged, unless we want to tolerate the slaughter of the person in the womb.

Marriage should be encouraged. Vows are a contract, taken publicly, and should be enforced by church and state. Penalties should be particularly severe for persons who break the contract with underage children in the union. Social, financial, and criminal penalties should be visited upon those who would visit same upon the rest of us.

As said by fifth-generation Orthodox Rabbi Daniel Lapin http://towardtradition.org, "Your sexual behavior is none of my business? You think you can fill the streets with unparented children wreaking havoc? Are you out of your mind?"

When this issue is addressed, there won't be waiting lists of 500 fatherless boys, and 12-year olds won't be being introduced around the sodomite/libertine community by opportunistic and/or deluded well-meaning "mentors".

HARRASSED BY US

Kudos to Michael Suozzi of La Mesa on his letter to the editor on boycotting December Nights. His letter was somehow special because it was strong as it should be when we Christians are being attacked by the liberal far left.

Who are these ultra left-wing people? I believe many of them are people who come from cultures that were harrassed by us Christians in past generations. I have a neighbor who is a rabbi, an old man of eighty-two. He tells me horror stories of how the Catholics used to set their hair on fire when they attended Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois. He has a Ph.D. in comparative religions and claims Pope Innocent III killed more Jews and Muslims then Hitler. He without doubt has resentments towards us Catholics.

When I was in boot camp at MCRD here in San Diego we had one Jewish recruit. That poor kid was hazed badly, and I was guilty as the DIs who hazed him to the point of the kid having a mental breakdown. Now the Jews are in high places like the ACLU and the media; they have a lot of power. Are all of them filled with resentment toward Christians? I don't think so, but it doesn't take a large number of anti-Christian people to change our traditions.

I say we fight to hold our Christmas on the Prado, but to fight with the weapons of God -- love, patience, and understanding on where they are coming from.

CHRISTMAS IDOLATRY

I read the [letter to the editor] by Michael Suozzi in the December issue of your interesting paper.

I'm wondering why Michael is so upset about Christmas at the Prado being changed to December Nights Christ was never in the celebrations surrounding Winter Solstice in the first place.

Those who professed to believe in Him put Him into the midst of all of the goings-on: Mithras, Saturnalia, Celtic rites, Frigga of Scandinavian origin, etc. Jesus should never have been there in the first place. It was a pantheonic action to add Him in.

As a retired Pastor Emeritus and a Bible-believing born-again sinner who was in the ministry circa 40 years ago, I'm glad Jesus was removed from such idolatry.

In Christ,

WE'RE NOT MAKING IT UP

Over the years I've wanted to write and express my thanks for your Notes, and time slips by.

However I'm grateful that you all have stayed the course, and as exposers of the corruption hit the media, your reporting has been vindicated.

Now the nay-sayers can't say that orthodox Catholics have been "making it up." The truth hurts, so many just deny that there are actually dissenters and heretics that occupy the bully pulpits and have been destroying the Faith for years. They have no fear of the justice of God, as they repeat, "God loves you where you are" (no need to repent?).

GOP AND PP

A major shift is occurring in the abortion industry. Irrespective of inflation, the price of killing an unborn child at 8-12 weeks cannot go above $310. If it does, the mother is forced to realize that it's not just a frivolous "procedure," but a more significant event. Contrary to media "wisdom", it has been proven that mothers just don't have abortions if the price is high. Abortionists know this and are dropping out of the business. That is, except for Planned Parenthood, who can keep their prices lower based upon government handouts. As Amtrak did in 1971, Planned Parenthood will survive market forces by means of government subsidies. In the early '90s, I'd count 12 to 15 mothers entering Planned Parenthood while 50 would enter Family Planning Associates. Now, FPA has the small mill, and PP is moving to a bigger one.

How will PP be funded? By appropriations bills originating in the Republican House.

In the '80s, the timber industry in the Northwest was crippled by Tip O'Neill's Democrats in the House. They did this by regulating it to death and not necessarily by criminalizing it. A full-time paramedic and an independent professional counselor are just two measures needed in a very unregulated abortion industry. This would drive up the cost of having a child killed and could be incorporated into a "Save the Women" legislation from the Republican House. Will the Republicans seize upon this opportunity to significantly decrease the number of abortions when they have the House?

Catholic pro-lifers need to understand that it is not heresy to question the motives of the Republican Party. A hijacked seamless-garment mentality was once employed by some "Catholics" to support the Democrats: "Help us disarm America, end capital punishment, increase social spending and then, maybe (you stupid pro-life streetfighters), we'll talk about abortion." A similar thread from the Republicans: "Get us all elected (you stupid pro-life streetfighters) so that 100% of elected positions are Republican and then, maybe, we'll talk about abortion."
