MARCH 2000 LETTERS
UNAWARE OF THEIR INROADS?Regarding the January 2000 letters News Notes:
The first letter objects to your telling the truth about political candidates' opinions on the "one issue of Choice," as though it were trivial or irrelevant as long as the person otherwise "does good."
But that is the life or death issue; how can we ignore it?
The second writer complains falsely that "half of News Notes' front page is usually anti-queer" and also makes many insulting remarks and insinutaions about pro-life people and News Notes.
The third letter writer shows a similar misunderstanding of Church teaching on homosexuality, and of News Notes' efforts to keep its readers informed on all the issues facing our Church today.
Perhaps these letter writers are unaware of the many anti-Catholic "gay" parades and marches, ridiculing priests and nuns, of the desecration of Hosts, and of St. Patrick's Cathedral.
Perhaps they are unaware of the legal powers they have acquired and the inroad s homosexuals have made in the public schools toward making their behavior (often deadly because of AIDS) appear acceptable.
Perhaps the writers also favor same-sex marriages, the ultimate insult to Got in His creation of man and woman.

STOP THIS CONFUSION
My heart goes out to families with siblings entwined in the gay lifestyle fighting for legal validation, such as "marriage". I'd like to express hope for a future of change with kindness to them and others with similar circumstances.
We say: "One nation, under God, with liberty and justice for all." It means we need to trust Him and obey His laws, to be blessed.
There's a reason the Bible is the #1 book. In it are true stories of people who were disciplined, nations cursed. I believe we are now under God's curse. We have allowed Satan to kill our babies, our children at schools, and now he wants to steal our grown children's ability to enjoy wholesome pure intimate love and experience the awesomeness in procreating. The times nations were blessed and prosperous was because their leaders trusted God and obeyed His commands. I know the God of the Bible is Jesus, our Saviour. I invited Him into my heart. He disciplines me and teaches me of His love and blesses when I obey His Word.
Maybe we can blame the confusion of today on the high illiteracy in the USA. The definition of "marriage" is a legal contract between a man and a woman, a relationship as husband and wife. A sacred union. I'm voting "Yes" on Prop. 22, Limit on Marriage, March 7th.
The definition of "homosexual" is a person sexually attracted to another of the same sex. If the gay movement wants a similar legal union they need to create a word for their contract. How about a sodomy (of Sodom in Genesis 18 & 19) contract? Actually, homosexuality is still a crime in many states. If we legalize homosexuality (God forbid!) oh, ...we would JUST be adding to the list of our other justified decisions, like legally killing our babies (abortion of a fetus sounds more civilized (???), or better, doesn't it?)
Those of us who know we have authority in the name of Jesus, please join me in binding Satan and his demons to stop this confusion right now. I command him to leave our families and children of this nation alone, to go to the pit of Hell and never return in the powerful name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth. Let's pray to God for our nation to wake up, seek God and mend our ways. It's FREE through the blood of Jesus, for us to be healed. He changes lives, hearts, minds, and emotions. Ask Him today and see for yourself.
